We are a high performing team based in Sydney, Australia with two areas of expertise at our core: retail pricing and data analytics. We have built a team of experts in both these fields in order to deliver a suite of powerful but easy-to-use practitioners tools used by category management, brand management and pricing teams. Our founder Aaron Cowper was at one time the Head of Price Strategy and Analytics at Australia’s biggest supermarket, and previously as a McKinsey & Company strategy consultant serving retailers and consumer brands around the globe.
We strive to help our customers maintain competitive pricing and effective promotions across a compelling product range while maintaining healthy sales margins and revenue growth. It’s a very fine balance which requires deep insights in real-time about what’s happening in a particular market.
A typical retailer might have 20,000 to 100,000 products in their product range, but there may be only 100 products in that range that truly matter to customer price perception on any particular day. We help retail teams identify these products and optimise pricing accordingly.

Before founding ShopGrok, Aaron was Head of Price Strategy & Analytics at Australia’s largest supermarket retailer, and was previously a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He resides in his hometown of Sydney with his wife and 3 young kids.
Head of Analytics
Priyanshi has more than 10 years of experience in data analytics. Before joining ShopGrok, she was the Pricing Analytics manager at Australia’s largest supermarket. Priyanshi loves spending her time hiking, snorkelling, playing tennis or cuddling her two cats.
Finley is a UNSW engineering student with a passion for designing software solutions to real-world problems. In his spare time, he loves using the Python programming language, and all things sport.
Graduating from an Engineering and Computer Science degree (Swinburne University), Holly joined ShopGrok as a Software Engineer and currently resides in Tasmania. She loves to swim and is an electronics hobbyist.
Anshul holds a Master’s of Data Science (Swinburne University) and has two years of experience in Analytics and Data Engineering. He loves to play Cricket and watch movies in his free time.
Starting with ShopGrok as a Junior Support Engineer, Paranjay is an active and adventurous guy studying IT at King’s Own Institute, Sydney. In his spare time, he enjoys taking photos and videos of the many places he visits.
Kaushik has three years of experience in technical consulting and Data Engineering. He holds a Master’s of Data Science (La Trobe University) and Bachelor’s of Engineering (University of Mumbai). He currently resides in Melbourne.
Junior Software Engineer
Currently enrolled at UNSW Engineering, Namit is a Future of Change Scholar who is enthusiastic about applying software to real-world problems. In his free time, he enjoys driving and listening to music.
Mohit started with ShopGrok as an intern while studying a B.IT at La Trobe University. After graduating with distinction, he joined full time as a Support Engineer and is now a Data Engineer. His hobbies are snooker and badminton, road trips, music, and volunteering at Sikh temples (gurudwaras).
